What Plugbook stores, what it sends, and why
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Plugbook is an electric-vehicle charging log made by Tiny Moments Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles when you record charges, scan receipts, or sign in, and how you can delete it. We collect only what the features need. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
When you first open Plugbook we create an anonymous account (a random identifier) so your charges can be backed up and synced. You may optionally link it to Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In to keep your data across devices. In that case we receive the identifier and, if you share it, the email address provided by Apple or Google. We never see your password.
The following is stored in your account on our servers (Google Firebase) and cached on your device so the app works offline:
When you scan a receipt or screenshot, the image is sent to our Cloud Function, which forwards it to a third-party AI model to read the energy, cost, date, and network name. The image is also stored with your account so you can view it later. Your account identifier accompanies the request so we can enforce the monthly scan quota. We do not use your receipts to train AI models.
If you allow it, Plugbook takes a single location fix while you are filling in a new charge, to suggest nearby charging stations and the area name. On iOS the station search runs on your device through Apple Maps. On Android the coordinates are sent to our Cloud Function, which queries Google Places and caches the resulting station list by approximate grid square, not by user. When you pick a charging station from the suggestions or the map, its name and coordinates are saved with that charge so the app can show and edit the place later; these are the station's coordinates, not your own position. Home charges never store a location, and a location you type by hand is saved as text only. The app never uses location in the background, and you can turn suggestions off in Settings › Privacy.
To reduce look-ups, the app may report station names and coordinates found by Apple Maps to a shared cache on our servers. This cache contains only machine-sourced station data, never your charges, identity, or exact position.
Plugbook collects anonymous usage analytics and automatic crash reports (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) so we can fix bugs and understand which features are used. These are not linked to your name or email.
Plugbook Pro is sold through the app store you installed from (Apple or Google). We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status, and RevenueCat receives your account identifier and the store receipt. We do not see or store your payment method, billing address, or store account ID.
Your data stays in your account until you delete it:
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS). Data is stored by Google Firebase with encryption at rest, and access rules ensure each account can read only its own data.
Plugbook is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision; material changes will be noted in app updates.
